Matthew Tai

Matthew Tai is a Hong Kong & New York based composer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. A former principal cellist and ATCL diploma recipient, he comes from a strong classical training background. Having worked with the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts previously and now with world class faculty in New York University, he now focuses on composing for visual media, music production and ensemble composition. Matthew has collaborated on award-winning short films and documentaries, bringing storytelling depth and orchestral sensitivity to his music.
